about

"Shades & Forms" was the only published album in 2012 by TNP, due to the production of "Solid State Society" beforehand. During that time, TNP was still in a transition process, away from rigid concepts, towards a natural sound concept with an own identifiable signature.

It was all about the materialization of music on a broader level with different concepts, and the time was right to make decisions with all those other incoming ideas, accepting that all oceanic themes were completed successfully. That's why "Shades & Forms" has nothing to do with any of the common subjects of the music project before, it stands alone for a certain way, presenting a new kind of a fresh root, from which all the following releases will start somehow.

A further concept of this album was to combine a handpicked selection of the very best remixers to give a special and inimitable color to the whole production. Most of the artists are good mates and/or friends from earlier releases or collaborations, either by remixes made for them or by remixes from them. Generally, it was also kind of a nice challenge to "collect" as much remixers as possible for TNP works in the past, just to name all the previous releases on ZeECc (which closed end of 2013). There was indeed no higher effort to collaborate with remixers than in the first music decade of TNP, and with "Shades & Forms" everything about remixes has been massively downsized to give more attention to own works in the future.
