about

When the successful album "Shades & Forms" was released in 2012, it was somehow clear that there would be a worthy successor in a similar style. For this, TNP once again called on many of its musician friends to make remixes, as it was the case back then, when a single track was remixed based on its content in different perspectives to individually work out how the respective musician translates his view of things on the piece. But why not go one step further?

This time it wasn't just about creating a complete remix album based on a single track again. Instead, a selection of different tracks from different TNP discography albums between 2011 and 2014 was used, namely from the releases: Solid State Society, Operations, Shades & Forms, Ebb & Flow and Futuristica. Based on the style of the respective musician, everyone was given their own piece to be creative with. This resulted in another very diverse and colorful sounding remix album.

Almost all acquaintances to the participants go back to the early days of TNP, that is, until 2008 to be precise, but they all have one thing in common: they are musical friends of TNP and found together in a period of quite a particular zeitgeist, a time as the netaudio era of well-known netlabels like Thinner, Autoplate, Stadtgruen & Cism came to an end and transformed into netlabels like ZeECc, Entropy & many others. All of the remixers / artists came into contact with these labels during this time and came together as a group of musicians, and it is a kind of homage to these good "old" days to work with them again one more time. The only condition was to use only the material provided to build the remix.

It should be particularly interesting that Ayqix delivered four remixes this time, which is due to the fact that the original request for the first version for the Sci-Fictional World release back in the days brought a total of five different versions! Of course it would have been a shame to release just one, since the other four were extremely successful, so they were kept under lock and waited for a few years and finally found their way onto this album, and they are still as sparkling as on the first day. Immediately afterwards follows the remix of Zwei Kreise (formerly Axs), whose sounds have always had a retrospective touch and always sound very openminded, closely followed by two other heavyweights of the scene (and from Russia, which is immensely important and valuable as a contrast to the scene is), namely Igor Arsenjev (aka Gradient) and Martin Schulte. Also not to be missed are the ever-popular remix buddies Xoki/Hieronymus, who have accompanied TNP since the beginning and whose splashy-bubbling remixes always conjure a smile on the face. Also on board again is Teemu T, who is known for his science fiction-like and underground techno sound, and who again delights us with a very straight and softly sombre remix version with city flair. And last but not least, Coppice Halifax joined the party, a musician whose name is so diverse and whose work is so numerous that it makes one proud to have him as contributor on the album because he delivered a long stretched out version of the original track, which is unparalleled in terms of length and sound structure.
